Apple begins moving MacBook production from China to Thailand

According to information from Reuters, Apple is in talks with suppliers about the possible production of MacBooks in Thailand, which will expand the company's manufacturing presence outside of China. Suppliers have ready-made production facilities in Thailand and are ready to discuss the possibility of assembling and manufacturing components and modules for the MacBook. Currently, Apple already manufactures its Apple Watch in Thailand. From shifting production from China to Apple, strict restrictions imposed last year due to COVID-19, which disrupted Foxconn's largest iPhone factory, prompted. In addition, the company seeks to avoid damage to relations between Beijing and Washington. Apple also tripled its iPhone production in India, collecting more than $7 billion worth of smartphones last year, and now manufactures almost 7% of its iPhones in India, well above the 1% figure in 2021.
