Inflation in the US in July amounted to 3.2%

As a result of July, the consumer price index (CPI) in the US amounted to 3.2% year on year. Analysts had forecast 3.3%. A month earlier, CPI was at 3%, writes RBC.
On a monthly basis, US inflation rose by 0.2%, in line with expectations.
The number of applications for unemployment benefits in the US for the past week amounted to 248,000. The data exceeded expectations (230,000) and the previous figure (227,000).
