Wall Street volatility amid mixed reports

The mixed financial results of the companies have caused fluctuations in the US stock market in early trading on Friday. At 10:44 AM ET (1444 GMT), the Dow Jones was down 55 points, or 0.2%, while the S&P 500 was down 0.3% and the NASDAQ Composite was down 0. 4%.
The Procter & Gamble Company raised its full-year guidance, pushing its stock up 3.4%. Shares of HCA Holdings Inc also rose 4.8% to a new 52-week high after the company raised its 2023 guidance.
US Federal Reserve officials backed another quarter percentage point rate hike at a meeting in early May, which most futures traders expect. The S&P Global Composite PMI turned out to be stronger than expected at 53.5 against expectations of 52.8. Indices of manufacturing activity and activity in the services sector also turned out to be stronger than expected.
Shares of Schlumberger NV fell 3.7% and Freeport-McMoran Copper & Gold Inc 4.2%. Oil rose in price, WTI futures rose 0.2% to $77.53 a barrel, and Brent futures rose 0.2% to $81.22 a barrel. Gold futures fell 1.4% to $1,990 and Treasury yields fell after new jobless claims surged.
